Crimson Conversations

Crimson Conversations creates a space for learning, dialogue, and student leadership. Featuring students who attended the Creating Change Conference, this program highlights lived experiences and invites our campus community into meaningful conversations about LGBTQ+ advocacy and social justice.
Pride Market
Wednesday, April 1

Pride Market brings together LGBTQIA+ artists, makers, small businesses, and community organizations for a vibrant outdoor marketplace. Explore unique goods, meet local creators, and celebrate creativity, connection, and belonging during Pride Week at the University of Utah.
Community Cuts
Thursday, April 2

Community Cuts brings local stylists to campus to provide free haircuts while celebrating authenticity and self-expression. Stop by for a refresh, connect with community, and leave feeling confident, empowered, and ready to show up as your authentic self.

Dress Code: True Colors Wear bold rainbow colors or go monochromatic — pick a color (or colors) that represent you and show up as your most authentic self.

Pride Palooza

Pride Palooza serves as the high-energy launch for the University of Utah’s 2026 Pride Week, inviting students, faculty, staff, and the broader community to come together in a vibrant display of joy and authenticity.
Step into a space where music, celebration, and community come together. Whether you’re there for the fun, the connection, or simply to find your footing among friends and allies, Pride Palooza is the perfect way to begin the week.
Crimson Conversations

Crimson Conversations creates a dynamic space for learning, dialogue, and collective empowerment. In collaboration with the Center for Student Access & Resources and students who attended this year’s Creating Change Conference in Washington, DC, this two-hour program brings national conversations to our campus community.
Grounded in Visibility Through Authenticity, the program centers the power of lived experience, storytelling, and student leadership. The first hour will feature student presentations exploring key topics from the Creating Change Conference.
The second hour transitions into an interactive Q&A session with student panelists, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly and deepen their understanding of the issues shaping LGBTQ+ advocacy and social justice movements today.
Gayme Night

Gayme Night invites you to step into a world of imagination, storytelling, and community as part of Pride Week at the University of Utah.
Whether you’re a seasoned Dungeon Master or brand new to Dungeons & Dragons, this event offers a welcoming space to explore tabletop adventures, connect with new allies, and celebrate Pride through collaborative fun.
Come grab a character sheet, find your party, and discover why the best adventures happen when you’re playing as your most authentic self.

Rooted in this year’s theme, Visibility Through Authenticity, the market highlights creative work that reflects bold expression, connection, and belonging.
Attendees are invited to explore unique goods, engage with creators, and celebrate the diverse talents within our campus and surrounding community.
Community Cuts
Date: Thursday, April 2

Community Cuts brings local stylists to campus to provide free haircuts while celebrating authenticity, confidence, and self-expression.
This event is more than just a refresh. It’s a space for community care — a chance to feel seen, supported, and empowered during Pride Week.
Haircuts will be provided by local stylists from Lucero Hair & Wellness, bringing professional care and community connection to this experience.
Stop by for a refresh, connect with community, and leave feeling confident, empowered, and ready to show up as your authentic self.
Pride Prom

Celebrate Pride Week with a night of music, self-expression, and community. Wear bold rainbow colors or go monochromatic — choose a color (or colors) that represent you and show up as your most authentic self. Pride Prom is a celebratory Pride Week tradition designed to foster joy, self-expression, and meaningful community connection at the University of Utah.
This year’s theme, True Colors, invites students to show up boldly and authentically in a vibrant, welcoming space where identity, creativity, and belonging are celebrated together.
Throughout the night, attendees can enjoy drag performances, interactive art, a sensory room, face painting, and other activities that make the evening a joyful celebration of Pride and community.

Age Requirement: 21+
Dress Code: Written in the Stars
Dress in a way that reflects your zodiac energy — come as your sign, or the one you aspire to be, and let your inner cosmic self shine.
Gayla is Pride Week’s celebratory closing event, bringing the community together for an evening of joy, authenticity, and connection.
The evening will feature live music, gourmet food, craft drinks, raffle prizes, and a silent auction with contributions from community partners across the valley.
Funds raised through the silent auction support future Pride Week programming and ongoing community initiatives.
This event is 21+.

The University of Utah's participation in the Utah Pride Parade strategically aligns with institutional priorities related to community outreach, recruitment, accreditation, and public health. This involvement strengthens relationships within the broader Salt Lake City community and the state of Utah, reflecting the university’s commitment to public service, community engagement, and healthcare accessibility.
Any department, faculty, staff or student at the University of Utah can participate with the University of Utah in this year’s Pride Parade and at the Festival. We are asking that participants pay close attention to and follow the guidelines being presented for the parade, boothing/tabling and representing the university as we will continue to remain in compliance with state and federal policies and legislation throughout this event.
